      I think the anti-choice movement’s opposition to the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act was a huge misstep for them. They took a very hard-line stance of no abortion in Ireland under any circumstances, and ignored the part that makes women who get abortions into criminals. If they’d been thinking more strategically, they could have said “this and no further”, and seemed more reasonable – especially as the pro-choice side is strongly against the Act.
