From top: Fine Gael’s Paschal Donohoe, Heather Humphreys, Paul Kehoe, Alan Kelly and Taoiseach Enda Kenny arriving at the Dáil this afternoon

The first post-election Cabinet meeting of Fine Gael and Labour gets under way this afternoon.

Government TDs who lost their seats, from both parties, are expected to attend.

Hot skinny jeans fella.

It’s not always about you.

      Schadenfeude is right.

It might be more (or less) becoming if there had actually been the seachange that was predicted.

Considering those who didn’t make it back will be well paid and up for some cushy jobs when their friends are back in, there’s not much to be happy about.

  1. dav

Kenny and Co treated the citizens of this country with contempt, they won’t do so again.

  2. Neilo

@dav: true enough – the people have spoken and they want a lot less FG/LAB. Who’d be an elected representative, eh?

    1. rotide

Unfortunately for BS and mercille, they didn’t exactly vote for a seachange did they.

More of the same, better the devil that assaulted you before …etc

    2. Medium Sized C

The people have indeed spoken, they didn’t say that though.

They said, we want a few less FG, a lot less Lab and a good few more FF who are mostly the same as FG.

to make them look ‘busy’ and ‘working’ for you!

its all optics. if they were just sitting there looking out teh window it would give the impression they where being chauffeured around, which they are. if on the other hand they are on the phone etc it nullifies that argument as it looks like they are occupied. Note how kelly has his arm hanging from the roof handle. Same message, im focused on the job etc.

BS! The joke doesn’t work if you change it! And I had starred it out – change it back

      FFS

  3. Cranky

Whatever happened to them all getting shipped around in a bus, seem to all get their drivers back??

That’s it, on the button TheDude.

We have ttwo parties who’s biggest concerns are about not losing face before their supporters..
The ‘sacrifices’ they endure will be harder to swallow for the majority of us.

After all, WE didn’t vote for either of them, did we?

      1. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

…and when you take into consideration that way too many potential left-wing voters are lazy bottomholes and dont even vote…

FF/FG are hi-jacking this election, because that’s what they do.
And that’s why we let them.

        I despair.

  4. Truth in the News

Kenny has announced he is going to the Whitehouse for St Patricks Day
in what capacity, if he is voted down in the Dail,he is no longer Taoiseach
Also Martin said he wants Dail Reform, the SF, AAA,PBP should table a
set of proposals to implement Dail Reform at once and call Martin’s and indeed
Kenny’s bluff. and to test it more, a bill to abolish Irish Water and Water Tax…..we’d soon find out that FF and FG have a lot more in common than the electors realised…..the U turn’s will be fascinitating to watch “Lets get the U Turn’s Going”

Can’t believe that Alan Kelly plonker got in its my biggest gripe about the whole damn scam!

  6. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

I haven’t got a telly, but if I did I would bring it to a hotel and throw it out the window within the next three days.
    That’s why I haven’t got a telly..
