If I remember it was called the ‘nude’ tour which we got very excited about but then realized it was Prince without all the previous stage wizardry of cadillacs coming down from the ceiling etc., He also had to compete with Ireland’s success at the world cup and when the crowd kept singing ‘ole, ole’, he came out on stage defiantly with a, ‘Whose fuckin’ party is this anyway?’
Remember it being very underwhelming.
His Purpleness was not impressed with
1. The Mexican Waves
2. The crowd chanting Olé, Olé Olé
3. All the idiots shouting for “Nothing Compares 2 U”, even after he had played it!
The gig to remember was two years later in the RDS. Boy, did he party hard that night!

I bet the queen was thinking of a different prince when she blew out the candles
Jeez those prices would depress you :(
That would almost be the ‘booking fee’ these days.
That’s what happens when you don’t pay for music, kids!
