Hi guys, I’m a 2nd year Commerce International student in UCD. I’m also an aspiring filmmaker. A couple of friends and myself recently collaborated on video about the financial crisis in 2008. We tried breaking down what happened into a simple easy-to-follow video. We also tried to make it entertaining which I think we did…
Fair play, in fairness.
I maintain that when the financial reports from irish banks are publicised (Be it yearly or quarterly reports) a warning that “these figures can not be trusted” be given every time.
Just a reminder, that they went in and lied shamelessly till the bitter end.
The big short is a good movie
Why the accent? …..is this about the Irish property crash, American crash or world crash?? …..Irish newspaper is used but then he ‘tawlks’ about CDOs….that wasn’t the problem in Ireland…
“Why the accent?”
Why has anyone got an accent..I’d say he’s American. …’International student’
Poof!!!??!!

Footstool !
I win !
Yeah so are they going to be responsible in business when they grow up or be just like their banking Daddies who caused the problem in the first place.
Your taxes then pay for the money that bankers wasted.
When the history books are written – people will gasp in disbelief and then gasp again when they see that we still re-elect the same politicians who approved the bailout (both in Ireland and USA).
Media control is so powerful.
I’m just glad I’ve beaten the system and I don’t have to work more than 5 hours per week anymore.
