so a pizza for lunch and a burger at night with nothing else and im grand.
i sorta live like that now, and i feel awful all the time and constantly tired.
and im skinny/fat.
And I’m not too bad with my daily diet of 3 Snickers bars followed by a mini Babybel, washed down with a refreshing litre of vodka..
More protein, healthy fats and get your carbs from veg instead of pizza.
Also – Do some exercise.
Also – The 2550 for men is for a reasonably active man of a not exactly slight build (decent enough amount of lean muscle)
Most men in this country (sedentary lifestyle) need very little above their daily base metabolic rate, so an average man sitting on his arse commenting on BS all day long should have no more than 2000 calories, and should source most of that from protein and healthy fats and less so on carbohydrates.
And to think the British army used to have to make a larger sized uniform for the strapping Irish mostly rural recruit who benifited from a better diet than the English back in the day
I’m surprised by how calorific pesto is. You wouldn’t think twice about dumping a jar of that on top of some pasta.
Tbf, it is mainly oil and cheese.
Natural pesto good, jar pesto filled with sugar and crap bad
Rarely sugar, mainly bad quality oils and cheap cheese.
Surprised at ketchup. I’ll be having a go at this so.

For the amount of ketchup most people use I wouldn’t be concerned with making that yourself.
You’re hardly going to have an entire bottle, you might have a tablespoon full.
But if you’re having it a lot and you only have it on chips, then the ketchup is the least of your worries.
The only time you should bother with homemade sauces is tomato sauces which would generally come in a jar, absolutely no need for the sugar that is in them, and they taste rank. Make your own pasta sauces – tinned tomatoes, herbs and spices, some chopped up peppers and onions .. virtually calorie free – no need for the oils, although decent olive oil is a great source of healthy fats
Christ the calories in them would fell a horse if not a hippo.
One way to shock yer way to diet.
Common sense people, calorie counting nonsence, eat like a king at breakfast and a pauper at night.
Stop eating processed crap and get off your arse.
Stirs creamy Risotto ;)
Can I condense your post? Tnx you.
Don’t eat anything with a label on it.
That works, if it didn’t come out of the ground or draw a breath it’s probably not a good idea
@ Jane
Charming, is one telling us to steer clear of the trough m’lady? :-P
Waves royaly back from moral high ground ;)
Lol, any of that risotto left?
I can’t be filled today – only way forward is padlocked muzzle….
Mammy said there would be days like this. I’m not aloud talk about my muzzle collection on line anymore.
Yes :) I made enough for a small army.
Nothing wrong with being a big woman, it’s how you carry it. Here is one that even I find interesting.

I like your tunes, she’s a fine looking thing too
Ditto, he knows all the cool songs and singers. She was a breath of fresh air and lovely powerful voice and look.

Mammy always knows best, better safe than sorry ;-)
Flippin’ heck, though. With a few jars of Nutella you could end world hunger.
