My son has downloaded an illegal copy, he was trying to find a nearby Squirtle the other night but as it wasn’t in our house he decided to head outside, the last words I heard him say as he walked out the door were ‘Oh there’s a Goldeen around too…’

    1. Cup of tea anyone?

I don’t think it is an illegal copy. Pokemon Go is available on android but it is only available in certain countries on the iphone.

Its not “illegal” its just not available through the play store here yet, theres an easy workaround where you download it from somewhere else, it also just launched in Germany this morning so hopefully will get its proper launch here soon enough

‘someone in broadsheet towers is incubating eggs as we speak” – Yeah. Chompsky tho. Not bodger like you mistakenly typed. No offence. You just made a mistake. Otherwise your point stands proud. Like an eagle or a statue of some cool god or something

I’d be terrified about liability if I owned that app, are there protections to ensure all Pokemon isn’t located in the middle of any busy road or in any dodgy housing estate?

    1. Cup of tea anyone?

So you haven’t seen that in the US lads were waiting at dimly lit spawning locations i at night waiting for pokemon catchers to arrive.

Theres zero liability on Niantic for stupid things people might do while playing the game

    3. Talismania!

They’ve just made, like, billions of euro in stock value. They laugh at liability. Besides, just like any app, Google Maps etc, it’s up to the user to determine safety. To be fair, they should put a recommended age limit on it to keep young stupid people out of trouble. From the buzz so far a safe target would be retirement age.

if I knew it was going to make billions, I’d have done it myself. but I didn’t know. I never do.
