Interesting angle from Newton Emerson in The Times yesterday. That Scotland wants to peg itself against sterling with a new Scottish pound so where would that leave NI? Well it could try to do likewise but there is no hope of it raising the required capital reserves.
Either way, the fact that FG who would be the most sympathetic of the southern parties to the Unionist position are now raising the United Ireland issue is quite telling. It is increasingly shaping up like an east/west German situation and Merkel in particular would relate to that.
