The “the more you earn (and pay in), the more benefits you receive” is common in European countries we normally look up to as shining examples of ‘ideal’ countries. Along with having your benefits curtailed after a certain amount of time.
Will never fly with Irish socialists though. They just want all the ‘take’ without the ‘give’.

They want a fairer tax system. We all do. Well, minus Leo and the Blueshirts.

This was long the case with maternity benefit here.

You really are some gobdaw. It WAS the case in this country years ago that PRSI contributions would, amongst other things, yield you a percentage of your salary, on a reducing scale, to tide you over until you secure another job – instead of plunging you into instant property. Both FF and FG have steadily eroded this over the years so that now PRSI is merely another tax, yielding no benefit to the payer
Sheik Yahbouti
That was to KFC or whatever he calls himself.
Kieran NYC
So you think ‘richer people get paid higher benefits because they contributed more’ will fly with RBB, Paul Murphy and the ‘lynch the rich’ crowd?

@Kieran KYC is see the old divide and conquer game, still works with fools i see.
They screw us over for billions but you fight over scraps from the table.
Kieran NYC
I’m not fighting over anything. I’m saying that PBP/AAA will never stand for such a system.
Even though it’s used in other European ‘socialist’ countries they claim to adore.
Oh you’re back. Remember: I’m gay and live in New York. That should give you and Bitter Old Queen hours and hours of material to amuse yourselves with.
Night night!

Hi Kieran. Can you vote in the American elections?
Kieran NYC
Nope.

Kieran NYC, i’m sure you’d applaud “Sir” philip green and his actions in “running” BHS. Asset strip, ignore repeated pleas to maintain pension contributions, then sell it all for £1, leaving it to go bust with a huge pensions hole affecting thousands of loyal workers and pensioners. It’s probably the fault of socialists, eh?

No one with a scintilla of ‘dacency’ applauds Green.
