Don’t think it’s jealously, more a case of being annoyed with Broadsheet’s continual promotion of the guy with no explanation (even saying it’s a mate would justify it and cut out a lot of the complaints) and now promoting the fact that he’s leeching off of someone else’s popularity in order to try and boost their own.
There’s a lot of Irish talent out there being bypassed, yet this guy gets the focus. Even RTE eventually learn when they’re flogging a dead horse.
I personally think you need to be brain dead to find him entertaining. But BS is not the only place this guy is, by chance iv seen he has a good few views on YouTube. And if using someone else, who fame I really dont understand, gets him as famous then why not. Bigger celebrities do it all the time.
None of that is a reason why Broadsheet keep peddling his videos, though. When 90% of activity for a regular section is just complaints about why it shouldn’t be there, then you’ve got to ask yourself why is it still there. There’s definitely a reason and it certainly isn’t because it’s popular here, where it counts.
You didn’t see his videos by chance.
You don’t see anything by chance on youtube.

YouTube has really gone to sh!t.
You can no longer see what your subscriptions liked/favourited (which was previously a great way to discover interesting videos.)
You have to rely instead on algorithm based suggestions, that usually recommends something with a superficial link to a video you previously watched, or a load of corporate American sh!te, or something fairly bland in general.
You can no longer monetise any video containing ‘controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown.’

I’ve never been a fan but I do enjoy how his repetitive, innocuous videos cause so many heads to explode here. Like some genuinely regard Broadsheet posting a video they don’t find funny to be a legitimate issue. It’s amazing.
