There was an interesting article in the indo last week about how it will be the most energy efficient building of its type in the country – the gold mesh on the outside will prevent the temperature raising too much inside from the sunlight and reduced the aircon bill. Anyone who has ever worked in one of these glass boxes will know how fast and how high the temperature rises when they turn the aircon off
Enough with your facts. It’s to do with bankers, water charges, ivory towers and the elite
ah to be fair I’m a bit of a bore but I do be interested in tid bits of information like that
@ Harry
You’re far from being a bore and you’re one of the most pleasant, tolerant and kind commenters.
+1
I’m actually a bit emotional with that, thanks!
“all that GLISTERS is not gold, often have we heard it told etc.” Ah jaysis, does nobody love Shakespeare anymore?
That sounds like a good idea which hasn’t quite been implemented.
I’d love to see the modelling/calculations behind it showing it to be the case.
I also wonder whether they’ll monitor the energy use against the predicted.
The ultimate irony, CBoI moving into Anglo building. Ah, Ireland.
I hear you but would it be preferable if, once we’d taken this heap on, that we refused to make any use of it?
It shows unsentimental pragmatism alongside the irony
perhaps a Celtic Kitten museum #neverforget
