There’s a lot of sharks out there, especially here in Ireland. Creative people need to learn how to write contracts (a google search will help with more info), get all parties involved to sign it before begninning work. Its now a legal document. If they don’t want to sign it, don’t work for them as they won’t pay you
Let’s not forget “But it’s a showcase event” or even better a “local showcase”.
