From top: Arran Smyth, and his ‘Nature Pak Picture’ ink jet paintings, €25 each
Arran Smyth is seven years old and from Dublin.
Arran writes:
My dad has helped me make a website, so I can sell prints of my drawings from my shop and give the money to Homes For Unwanted Greyhounds.
I really love greyhounds and I want to look after a greyhound someday.
I already have a dog called Mr Bojangles. He is a sheepdog.
Thank you, everybody.
Irish-made ‘Stocking Fillers’ to broadsheet@broadsheet.ie. No charge.
wow, brilliant
Psah, looks like a child drew it.
Only joking. Well done and best of luck young man, a kind hearted soul.
Über awwwwwwww…. :)
They are really great, good on that kid. Poor aul greyhounds.
Arran is both a fab artist and a kind-hearted young fella. Top marks, kid!
Sorry €25, good cause and its a good idea but c’mon €25.
You can still donate to hug or any of the other greyhound charities for a lesser amount. Or better yet you can not support the greyhound industry for free (excluding the millions in subsidies the state gives the IGB).
I totally agree, they should not be getting any money from the state.
But if Arran draws like this at seven, and continues to work hard at the art, you could be in on the ground floor…
I had a little business at the age of seven; selling Kinder Surprise toys at a profit. I got into terrible trouble in school for not having a license or paying income tax. Just a word of warning to Arran.
Donations rule ;)
