Finally someone talking sense and not afraid to face the cynical reality of things. I recently read online about this lad who pretended he was dying with cancer, just to make his ex-girlfriend feel bad. Point being: just like all the professional beggars, people who say they have cancer are probably full of shit. Don’t believe them until they’re dead. And don’t be afraid to call them out on it – so next time someone says he’s got cancer, point your finger in his face and tell him, “Chancer, more like”. Same goes for those scam-artists dying on the streets to try and make you think they’ve no homes.

    Yeah but y’know…
The Broadshout Boys are only interested in their own reflection. They stop caring at 5pm., starting again at 10am tomorrow, if they have to… Although they shouldn’t…
    – Tomorrow they’ll check to see who gave them a ‘plus-one’, then move along.
Fickle fuppers, who only see themselves but don’t know what they look like.

I wish more people did Graham F, but they evidently don’t.

I stop and talk with people.
It takes two minutes to reassure them that I’m not trying to rob their blanket or looking for a cheap blowjob.
That isn’t funny, it’s reality. It’s Dublin, and it’s shameful.

        Welcome to the future.

          The future is now memes.

Tell me this – what are homeless people for?
How many Apple Watches do they buy?
Have they ever even listened to a The Fall record?
These important questions need to be raised.

Btw I’m listening to Kate O’Connell TD on the telly now, not Mark E Smith. She sounds a lot more demented and full of herself.

The Fall are great aren’t they? Are you just getting into them now or have you always been into them?

I get really annoyed at the label ‘homeless’ being bandied about like it’s a cover-all, like it’s a demographic, a sub-species…
    It ISN’T.

    Talk to them.
Five minutes of your time is worth more than €5 of your poxy money.
Five seconds of your thinking will make you a better person.

yeah weird, isn’t it? just because there’ll likely be someone lying 6 inches away from you who might just stab you with a syringe, piss on you, assault you, rape you, spit on you, bleed on you or otherwise go mental on you, these precious little entitled princesses opt to stay on the street instead.

One fellow told me once, “at least on the street, if something happens, I can get up and run away, whereas the doors in the hostels are locked”

these people aren’t just homeless, they’re senseless
