Scumbags. It seems they’re not content with just exploiting Irish people, they want to do the same to visitors to the country too.

Irish businesses do this all of the time because there are no repercussions, they’ve taken on this horrible American culture of using young people and graduates as slaves. The Gov’t doesn’t seem to crack down on this behaviour at all! Its disgusting greed at its worst

“disgusting greed” is the motto of the last few governments, look after the wealthy and to hell with the nation

Surely this is illegal? Unpaid staff? Jobbridge is finished there are no internship schemes anymore.

Unpaid internships are a necessary part of the French Erasmus / Stage programme. Get your facts straight needle you start yelling about “The Man”.

    …before you start yelling :/

And it is not unpaid. The internship does pay a stipend, which is normally set down by the Erasmus coordinators. Plus they go to language classes for free. These students do not have language skills or enough experience so they come to Ireland and this school to gain both for a period of weeks. Nobody is being exploited – both parties are in need of internship.

There was nothing about a stipend or free access to English classes in the post yesterday, it has been changed since this went on Broadsheet.

Yesterday the unpaid internship that “is not unpaid” was advertising exactly that; an unpaid internship. The company gets the free labour, the worker gets diddly squat but should be thankful because their “communicative skills” are on the up.
Companies like ulearn school make me sick and this type of post is really taking the piss. Also there are so many spelling mistakes in the job post, perhaps the bosses could probably do with attending the English classes. Miserable bastards.
