The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Killing In The Name Of, by Rage Against the Machine because it actually has the lyric “fupp you I won’t do what you tell me” repeated a number of times. Its also a great track.

  2. Daisy Chainsaw

I posted about this song earlier in another thread.

The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be “Desire As” by Prefab Sprout because the sublime opening line is “I’ve got six things on my mind. You’re no longer one of them.”

    BURRRNNN!!

  3. Fergus the magic postman

‘The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Beck – Soul Suckin’ Jerkbecause it is saturated with a fupp you attitude, and gives a big two fingers towards the rat race’
    https://youtu.be/sdILQwlP_pk

  4. Harry Molloy

The greatest fupp you song in my experience is 99 Problems by Jay Z because I got at least 99 problems but you’re not one of them, b*tch!

    /raises middle finger

  5. Bertie Blenkinsop

Lloyd Cole & The Commotions – 4 flights up

    https://youtu.be/fl4MBUVSCDA

“Oh must you tell me all your secrets
When it’s hard enough to love you knowing nothing”

“You are your own worst enemy, so don’t expect my sympathy
Oh go back to your mother’s house and cry your little heart out”

and all to a jaunty, jingly-jangly tune.

Oh Lloyd, I’m ready to be heartbroken :)

  6. Paraic Elliott

The greatest Fupp you song is undoubtedly Cher “believe.” This lyric says it all “Do you believe in life after love…”
Yes I do and I played this song continuously to remind me of the fact.

      1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

It’s a great song. Terribly annoying earworm, though. Especially when you don’t know the words so just keep singing Mmmmm Bop la la Mmm Bop

  7. Formerly known as @ireland.com

RATM – Killing in the name of………..f u, I won’t do what you tell me (repeat)

  8. Rugbyfan

Dry your eyes by The Streets.

with the immortal line ‘There’s plenty more fish in the sea’.

My brother once amended the phrase when, after I split with a girl I was seeing, he said to me there are plenty more fish on the beach. To which I replied don’t you mean sea ? No, said, they’ll be all washed up by the time you meet them.
Way to kick a man while he’ down!

  9. Androgynous Kerry Blob

That Cee Lo Green song, with the title and lyrics that suit this particular competition. Coz it’s actually pretty good.

P.S. I’m from Kerry. We’ve no Golden Discs down here, so don’t give me the prize.

The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be “Forgive The Cnts” by Jinx Lennon, because ultimately it doesn’t matter how badly you’ve been fupped over – the only way to get yourself through and to move on is to forgive them. The cnts. THE COMPLETE AND UTTER CNTS!

‘The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Song For the Dumped by Ben Folds Five because the lyrics are brilliantly simple, real ….and cutting with bitterness, and a tinge of humour. After all, no one wants to lose their favourite t-shirt in a break-up. Gotta love his priorities :) ‘

    “Song for the Dumped”

    So you wanted
    to take a break
    Slow it down some and
    have some space

    Well fupp you too
    Give me my money back
    Give me my money back
    you b*tch
    I want my money back
    (And don’t forget to give
    me back my black T-Shirt)

    Wish I hadn’t bought you
    dinner
    Right before you dumped me
    on your front porch
    Give me my money back
    Give me my money back
    You b*tch
    I want my money back
    and don’t forget

    And don’t forget.
    (And don’t forget to give
    me back my black T-Shirt)

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Ben Folds is brilliant. I saw him supporting The Divine Comedy years ago: the other four weren’t there.

      1. Kieran Nice Young Chap

Always dangerous including a reference to the number of band members in the name

  12. Weldoninhio

The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be James Brown The Payback
because its funky as hell and has the term “chicken change” in it.

  13. Mourinho

The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to
    be
    Tupac – Hit ‘Em Up
    because
it is hands down the angriest song ever recorded.

You’d be angry too if someone shot you.

    1. Mourinho

Well, this is how we gonna do this:
Fupp Mobb Deep, fupp Biggie, fupp Bad Boy as a staff, record label and as a motherfupping crew!
And if you want to be down with Bad Boy, then fupp you too!
      Chino XL: fupp you too!
All you motherfuppers, fupp you too!
      (Take money, take money)
All of y’all motherfuppers, fupp you; die slow, motherfupper……..etc

  14. aeddub

Martha Wainwright – Bloody Mother Fupping Grasshole. Arguably the entirety of her second album ‘I know you’re married but I’ve got feelings too’ could be considered an angry rant, but I think this one, from her eponymous debut hits the nail on the head when it comes to saying a big fupp you to some BMFA.

    1. mcgenius

In Martha’s case, her rage is specifically targeted towards her old man Loudon Wainwright III for walking out on the family when she was young (he’s her dad, and obviously he fupped her mother – hence bloody mother fupping grasshole). But yeah, great song alright.

  15. Daisy Chainsaw

If you like your Fupp You song with a bit of diddleyeyeness then there’s always the Beaudiful Corrrrs and “I never really liked you anyway”

  16. Kolmo

‘The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Keine Lust (Translated in this case as “Couldn’t be arsed..”) by the mighty Rammstein
The force of epic toe-tapping rock faceblast will, if heard by target of the Fupp-you, embed itself in their future nightmares,
    that’ll learn ’em…
(Don’t listen while driving – will cause a heavy right foot)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M4ADcMn3dA

or as a runner-up “Ich tu dir weh” (Translated as “I hurt you”) also by the glorious Rammstein – just satisfyingly brilliant.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxuEtL7gxoM

  17. Rich Uncle Skeleton

The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be John Lennon’s ‘How Do You Sleep’ because it’s just so damn petty and unreasonable.

  18. Mourning Ireland

Greatest fupp toy song ever is Bohemian Like You by the Dandy Warhol because I am a long term resident in Camden St Dublin and boy does that song resonate when I see the gentrification.

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Great band. I got confused, though, thinking you were talking about whassisname. The cool black dude with dreads whose band is his surname as well (maybe). I can’t think of his name. Ffffff something. Or is it?
      AAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

          1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

The very man! Thank you. I saw him years ago, but can’t for the life of me remember the venue, though I think it might have been at the back of Pravda or something like that? Jesus. Anyway, he was amazing.

  19. Custo

J Dilla – Fupp The Police.

Because everything about it is incredible. Beat, sample, delivery & message.

  20. Starina

Mine would be “I Hate Rock and Roll” by the Jesus and Mary Chain cos it’s drunken hateful nihilism at its best and I’m going to see them tonight for the first time ever and i can’t wait jhgjhG(*&hjkadfsjkdf(*&KJhhjkf

    https://youtu.be/Mlu4F4SRjyk

    1. Clampers Outside

      ……aaarrrggghhh soooo jealous :)

Enjoy Starina, never seen them myself.

Back in the days of metal, my Da, who was somewhat religious picked up a Slayer album, Reign In Blood, and read the lyrics to Altar Of Sacrifice…. Needless to say, it didn’t go down to well. He insisted I sell it and a tonne of other similar music… it was the time the RCC were kicking up about “the devils music” and heavy metal, the good old days !

Anyhoo, the next day he brought me into town to buy some new music… I came home with a cassette of Some Candy :) …and that lead to The Cult and a bunch of others, still love me a bit of trash metal though.

      Have a ball!

      1. Starina

haha god bless your da, he refined your love of noise! gonna be deaf tomorrow i’m sure. i saw Sleigh Bells at the Academy a few years ago and the white noise fupped up my ears so badly that i slept through my alarm the next morning. rock’n’roll

    1. Scroll to top

Nothing like a fu*rk you delivered with a big smile, belting voice and a mando.
      Thanks for sharing.

  21. Liggy

Bit of an odd one as I don’t think it was released as a single….

I don’t think it even has a name. It’s referred to as “The Linda song’ or ‘Somebody kill me’ depending on which version of ‘The wedding singer’ soundtrack you buy….

Anyhow, it’s damm catchy and brilliantly over the top…
https://youtu.be/LTnq268y2ms sung here by a melancholy / angry Adam Sandler.

Feel free to sing along and substitute the name of ex / boss / run away cat in place of Linda…..

  22. Sham Bob

‘The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Queen of Denmark by John Grant because of the way it builds up to a completely devastating crescendo of defiance. If you were the target of this wall of fupp you-itude, you’d hide under a rock for six months after hearing it.

  23. ivan

Well, look, ordinarily i’m rather humble in my choices and bow to other views (Clampers, good call up there) but frankly there’s only one and so…

The Greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my expereicne would have to be Yes, by McAlmont & Butler because the lyrics, the voice, the swirling orchestra, the crunch of the guitars and production that Phil Spector himself would have called OTT’

    “Because
    Yes I do feel better
Yes I do I feel alright
I feel well enough to tell you what you can do with what you got
    To offer”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POIIGYt5RlE

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

That is a brilliant song. I didn’t realise it was a fupp you song, though.

      1. ivan

it’s the gold standard, to be honest.

It’s cold contemptuous anger from a distance rather than immediate rage though!

  24. Mourning Ireland

The greatest fupp you speak song in my experience would have to be Fupp Me Pumps by Amy Winehouse because it’s Amy saying that talking a walk in someone else’s shoes is skanky.

    https://g.co/kgs/kRLssE

  25. GenerationScrewed

Always thought “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac had an air of Fupp You about it – “When the rain washes you clean you’ll know” being case in point.

As soon as things ended it would be too late and a quiet, dignified, “Fupp you” would surface

  26. Steph Pinker

‘The greatest ‘fupp you’ song in my experience would have to be Kevin Bloody Wilson’s, Supa Mega Fugly because it’s so bizarre and nasty, you know he really had an ex-lover in mind when he wrote it.

  27. Ratatattat

Wasn’t there an actual song called “Fupp you” by some dreadful white rapper type guy before?
