From top: Bang Bang café, Leinster Street North, Phibsborough, Dublin 7; Thomas Dudley

He terrorised delighted Dubliners with rambunctious key-wielding faux gun play.

But where is Bang Bang commemorated?

Daniel and Grace, of Bang Bang café and grocers,, write:

We visited Thomas Dudley’s (Bang Bang’s) grave recently in Drumcondra and we were really shocked to find he never got a gravestone. For a man who brought so much joy to his city we think this is wrong so we are going to fix that.

We plan to have a beautiful key shaped gravestone made and erected for Thomas. We’re happy to cover the cost ourselves but people said they’d like to contribute so we’ll take donations for the next two weeks for anyone who’d like to help. We’ll make up the difference.

We’re also working on a We’re also working on a ceremony that we’ll have to remember Bang Bang and unveil the gravestone…

In fairness.

That ‘charming gentleman’ frightened the life out my 6yr old self one day, at the gates of the Phoenix Park.

    He was brilliant, wasn’t he?

Let’s make celebrities. We haven’t got enough yet.

More poo Too… That would be lovely…. Poo is lovely….

Some people would do anything to get cheap publicity for another dull, lifeless hipster teashop.
