The Blue Cow

Last night.

Red Cow Inn, Naas Road, Dublin 22.

Scenes from the Fine Gael leadership debate aired live on Facebook between Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney (pic 8), chaired by Gavin Duffy (pic 2) and watched by Minister for Health Simon Harris (above beside Simon Coveney’s brother Patrick) Minister for Education Richard Bruton (pic 7) and former Fine Gael MEP Mary Banotti and former Fine Gael justice minister Nora Owen (far left pic 6).

Last night: FIGHT!

Dear friends, do you really think the rest of us should hold still for this collection of gimps ruling us? I hold my hand up in that I personally have never sought public office. Nonetheless, if we are prepared to tolerate this venal collection of trough sniffers there will never be the change and reform this country needs. To paraphrase Indah, this could be “the best little country to LIVE in”. The kicker is that we, as a people, have to recognize that we’re supposed to be a Republic – tribalism and clientalism have to go – and that’s down to US – our alleged betters have traded on it for 90 years. Are we ready?

Why are the Irish Tories so scared of the Shinners that the Fraperoom has to have a go at them at every turn? They have zero hour minions up at the crack of dawn issuing tweets and posts here and the Journal. Do you get paid per comment, or do you do it out of love and respect for the party?

Apparently so, Millie. Shoutout. The Sheik is available to support any bollocky cause – in return for money. We’ve all gotta eat.

There’s a simple answer to this question, SF are pulling back the curtain on FF/FG and exposing that the emperor has no clothes. Ireland has had 100 years of these parasites running the country and look at where things stand. A health system where hundreds of thousands of people are waiting years to see a doctor, a Police force which is rife with mismanagement, incompetence and corruption, an education system which forces people to baptize their kids just to gain entry to the local school and a housing system where thousands of those same kids are living in overcrowded hotel rooms. This is what the “establishment parties” have delivered. Einstein defined insanity as “repeating the same action over and over again and expecting a different result”, he may as well have been talking about the Irish state. Its time for Irish people to wake up and realize that things will never change while any iteration of FF/FG and Labour is running the show.

I ask again, are we ready to abandon tribalism and clientalism? If the answer is No………

Millie, I’m sad to say it, but there are too many gays supporting good looking fascists on this forum :-D

Sheik, if I understand your comment correctly…. I don’t think andyourpointiswhatexactly is a young homosexual. I think it’s a laydeee… with, like, boobies and stuff.

Oooh, my apologies to the young lady. I thought yiz were all the same bored lad :-)

    1. Frilly Keane

      I remember him around Crosser
      him and his brother
two snobby wanky male appendages with their butties
Peter Barry Jnr being one of them
fecking thought they owned the place

Harris and his two mates there look like the head table at the annual Nuremberg rally.

    1. Henry Woods

Hmm. The difference is those at Nuremberg did nothing wrong and those in Fine Gael will do nothing at all.

1 So who would you like to see as leader of FG?
2 Are all FG, FF politicians and voters wrong/ bad/ uncool etc?

  5. Tomboktu

Is that Mary Banotti, former FG MEP, the main focus in Photo no. 5 and also in the same photograph as her sister Nora Owen, on the other side of the man with his hands in the air?
