Awful : (
When it comes to profiteering from property, health and safety is always bottom of the list. Ask the ex residents of Priory Hall etc.
I’m sure KTCMO will make a lot of money on their insurance, though.
The company that did the refurb whipped any mention of that refurb off their website this morning.
They did not it can still be found now.
Stop purporting nonsense information.

Did you even look for yourself?
Oh, ok. I was directed to a cached page on Twitter.
I read it on The Guardian website: it’s still up there.
Am guessing KTCMO will not be allowed profit from this crime. Shocking.
Tory council – the deaths of these people were caused by neoliberal fundamentalism
…shocking…already the bravery of firefighters is the only bright light here…
Well that and the Muslims who were up for Suhur and guided people out of the building and the collections of clothing and essentials taking place around the area and the general people helping people that is, as usual, revealed in the face of tragedy.
…sorry…didn’t intend to make a competition out of this awfulness …any chance you could delete my comment Bodger…
Don’t. My reply wasn’t intended as an attempt at competition either. It’s important to highlight the good in times of tragedy and the first and obvious sign is the people who run toward danger to help. It’s only as the scale of a tragedy is revealed that we can see the scale of the effort to help from people other than the emergency services.
Its so shocking and awful! I can’t believe that Fire safety negligence is something that Landlords can still get away with in the 21st Century
People should (and I think will) be jailed for this. Awful and crazy.
Just saw images. terrifying to say the least….
it’s scary to think that in a relatively new building the fire can grow like that.
there was a fire in apartments at busy park recently, fire curtains were dropped and the fire was contained to one unit with no risk of it spreading. that’s the standard we need
Incredible.
Absolutely horrifying.
What a nightmare.
Some really scary stories coming out now. Apparently, a woman threw her baby out of the window, of the ninth or tenth floor to save it, and some wonderful soul managed to catch it. I only hope the two are reunited. I can’t imagine the fear.
“ballsy” property developer, making a killing….
I think it was built in 1974. The same year The Towering Inferno was released.
The cladding is the main suspect. How did it get approved, if it is such a fire hazard? That looks like a failure of Standards. The option to use that dodgy material should not have existed. Such a tragedy.
Priory Hall is only the tip of the iceberg in Dublin but at least we haven’t the high-rise factor thrown in.
Poor people, what a tragedy.
