Well our prime minister, Tory Boy, more or less admitted to dreaming of being part of British high society recently, so this is appropriate.

Calm down Bodger, just cos you are not interested in it, does not mean no one else is.

There are plenty of people in Ireland who are more interested in the fashion at sporting events than the sport itself. and there are plenty of news outlets (tv/radio/paper etc) catering for such interests . RTE is for everyone on this island.

RTE is for everyone on this island…to pay for whether they like it or not.
I don’t see this as an attack on RTE. More like an attack on society and how mindlessness and mushy-brains have moved into mainstream. It was socks and 25% dreamier yesterday…Reminds me of that film Idocracy.

Ah c’mon now, there was no sneering from me. And it’s nothing to do with taste, it’s to do with irrelevance and making a story out of nothing – yet people lap up the distractions? I think it’s pretty obvious that mushy brains are moving in. That’s my opinion, so you can sneer away yourself and defend the mindless rubbish which we are all being bombarded with.

Some people dig that stuff, see the sunday papers or weekly magazines as an example. RTE is there to cater for all people. If some people want to read mindless tripe in the lifestyle section, so be it. Not everyone has to like what you like Bodger.

She went to a wedding in West Cork at the weekend! Bantry Bay House, I think.
        Lucky. It’s a beautiful venue.

There’s probably more people in Ireland interested in whatever Kate is doing and the goings on in Love Island than the garda and the Jobstown 6.

    Cest la vie.
