      You ever worked in retail?

      I did, and you’d think people would have the common decency to remember their manners, but oddly enough they don’t. It costs nothing to say please and thank you and you’d be surprised how often people don’t bother.

        Yeah, me too. People can be horrid.

        Conversely, as a customer, it’s amazing how you can cheer up someone by asking them how *they* are.
