Meanwhile, In Stoneybatter

This is a cosy single bed, self-contained small flat we have available, 3 months minimum. It is very quiet, away from street noise, so you can get a restful night’s sleep.

Studio apartment, Aughrim Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, €160 per week (

Nice cosy studio flat now available, currently arranged with double bed, would suit couple or single person. Very quiet, not facing the road. Could be arranged with single bunk bed if that is whats required.

Studio apartment, Aughrim Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, €900 per month (

Thanks James Long

    It’s definitely cosy.

LOL @ these first world problem posts.

    Middle class pearl clutching

    What a sense of entitlement

Ca this be classed as first world living conditions? Certainly if the accommodations get any smaller I think we’d be looking at downgrading the certification.

Disgusting and pure greed. Moral compass of landlord needs to be checked regardless of what the market is dictating as to the maximum one should charge. I would feel like an extortionist charging that. Karma would come back to get me. We will all die eventually and I hope I can look back and be somewhat proud. If this was me, I would not be proud of myself.

Without adding insult, in terms of practicality – having looked again at the pics of the “bathroom” – after using the loo, to wash one’s hands, it appears one would have to remain seated to access the wash-hand basin.

These are the lap of luxury compared to some I’ve seen, like the “self contained” flats just off Leonard’s corner. But how can they justify charging those rates.

Because it’s a sovereign right of a property owner to absolutely waterboard the entitled snowflake with the temerity to seek a roof over their head. It’s their country, the people who pay their mortgages just live here.
