    Brevity is admirable, but…
…clarity is everything in Internet Posts.

    – What’s this thread about?

I don’t know whether to agree or fight… and I’m good at Chess.

“Valued an apartment today in Dublin City centre for €580,000” using a clearly understood and universally accepted model for property valuations I assume??
Or probably the property bubble with added gazumping finger in the air approach…

“Valued an apartment today in Dublin City centre for €580,000. Sold it for €288,000 summer 2013.”

    Oh reallllly, O.Reilly?

It would be interesting to see if it actually sells for that.

I know things have gotten mad, but anyone that spends €600k on an apartment needs their head examined.

Things are hotting up alright. It’s gone from struggling to find buyers to…well..this. I’ve sold 2 of my apartment properties in Dublin for over 470k recently and one each in Cork and Limerick for North of 240k – which for outside Dublin is good. All bought for 40-50% less between 2009-2010.

      Hahaha.

Sorry. Only kidding. I wanted to see what would be crazy but still believable.

I’ve never owned a house/apartment to be fair.

        Fair play Man!
You listened to the lyrics to ‘Rat Race’, by the retrogressive Reggae band called The Specials who were ahead of their time.

        We all danced.

that could well be a flat down around Cardiff lane Face Buke area
which in 2013 was far from the area it is now

    so there’s that

  6. Fed this now

The problem with apartments in Dublin is the management fee. It’s always exorbitant. Lived in an apartment in Dubai with a fee but you got security/pool/gym/squash and it was still half the price of the average ‘maintenance’ fee. At least with a house, you are not shelling out for fees every year.

      You should live there.
Just imagine how brilliant it would be…

I don’t know Dubai like you do.
      I don’t want to.

Sickening how these middlemen speculators have the housing ‘market’ in such a state.
Sickening that there’s a ‘market’ for any property that isn’t either a commercial property or a luxury home.
