From top: Leo Varadkar and Paschal Donohoe launches his campaign for leader of Fine Gael on Leo Street, Dublin 7 with coffee and cupcakes for journalists in May; an ad for a house on Leo Street currently on Daft.ie
Luke McManus tweetz:
€4200pm for an 86 sq metre house in Phibsboro with “six” bedrooms… If the street sounds familiar, it’s where @campaignforleo launched his leadership bid. Doubt he’s been back since…

Ad here.
How do you get 6 bedrooms into 86 Sq metres?
It must be a Tardis.
The ad actually says ‘berdroom’ which obviously means something entirely different.
that’d be where you’d bring your berds
Don’t worry, the “republic of opportunity” will take care of it for you.
€4,200 per month? Phibsborough? Leo? Inflated balloons?
Same agent has this listed: http://www.daft.ie/dublin/houses-for-rent/dublin-1/leo-street-off-dorset-street-lwr-dublin-1-dublin-1783855/
Cheers graven, I’m thinking better about my £60 per week 2 bed apartment on the Lisburn Road in Belfast.
2 Single and 4 DOUBLE BEDROOMS…. in 86sp metres.
Mother of god, my gaf is about 80m^2 and it feels small with just the two of us in it.
Is this a good time to bring up your recent weight gain?
Paschal calls them buns .

LeoVegas alright. Plenty of free spins.
I’ve been in those houses, the only way it could have 6 bedrooms is if there’s no other rooms.
Even then I’m still not sure it can fit 6 bedrooms.
Hmm. if you look at just the area of beds it’s 19.3 sq M – or a quarter of the floor area!!
2 x 0.9×1.9m = 3.42
4 x 1.4×1.9m = 15.95
Thats Luke son of Liz.
My dad rented one of those houses in the 70s for 40 quid a a week. So, in 30/40ish years, it’s now quite a lot more. They’re still quite smallish, if you consider 86 sm, small? 6 beds, really, not really. Maybe there’s a talented architect involved?
you sure
forty pound a week in the 70s was a weeks wages
My dad did quite well.
That’s not the point though, is it, those houses wouldn’t have cost a weeks wages in the 70s.
