Love All Around

Anne Zahan, of In The Company of Huskies creative agency, writes:

We’ve made an authentic tourist video about Dublin for client Failte Ireland. Working with production house Butter and director Yousef Eldin (formerly of Mongrel magazine) we went on a guerilla-style 3-day shoot before Christmas and captured drag queens, beer, urban cowboys, and rain. We also worked with Nialler9 to commission Le Boom to work on a bespoke track.

We think it’s an authentic love letter to the city and we hope your readers will like it!

You used “authentic” twice in that short blurb, thereby triggering all of the “inauthentic paddywhackery” alarms. Sort it out.

    1. some old queen

Well Bunny is authentic. She’s a northern Prod illegal immigrant who does an impressive line of sectarian songs to a disco beat for her DJ set? It’s a niche market in fairness.

She’s also a fitness trainer in civvies so looks quite scary but then again, nearly all drag queens do.

There was an old woman who swallowed a fly,
I don’t know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she’ll die.
She swallowed Nialler9 to to commission Le Boom
She swallowed Le Boom to work on a bespoke track
She swallowed a bespoke track to catch the spider
that wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
Perhaps she will be condemned to live out her life in an inauthentic tourist video.

creative agency staff strive to make Dublin look like a banal-Eurotrash-nothing-place in Failte Ireland funded circlejerk.
