Coming soon: Photos of annoying hipsters dressed in old worldly clothes, listening to an old school wind up gramophone in a park. Trying to catch the attention of a parky. Lame.
Ah sure what harm postie ?
It’s no harm, but the prank writes itself and it wouldn’t be funny or clever. Just another photo shoot or video of a few hipster students with beards waxed into ridiculous handlebar mustaches prancing about thinking they are subversive. Now, if they use the “no gramophone” premise as a starting point and do something brave and unexpected then fair enough. But we live in a conservative country where The Republic of Telly’s safer than safe broad comedy sketches are considered funny. Or maybe I’m being too hard on the general public. After all, we have no choice but to fund RTE so if only fifty people watch those unfunny waste of a skeletons, Bernard O’Shea , Jennifer Zamparelli, Neil Delamere & Dermot Whelan then we’d never know. There not going anywhere. RTE bill everyone anyway.
Like the Trinity student that demanded their free brandy before an exam…. then got fined for not having a sword :)
Or something to that affect….
gramophone? that’s what me granda calls me granma on.
Doesn’t say I can’t play with my horn.
I saw this the other day and I was so shocked my monocle fell out and I nearly crashed my penny-farthing.
I prefer the more timeless prohibition on engaging or taking part in any dancing.
