Re. Cork Examiner. The Danes (for just one country) have been running “waste to energy” incinerators for the past fifty years. They even run ‘District Heating Scheme ‘ off it. What’s so terrible about waste incinerators? Bear in mind, the Chinese don’t want any more of our crap – economic progress means they have enough crap of their own.

Apologies. Irish Examiner (former known as Cork Examiner). My remarks stand, smartbotty.

Ah Sheik, it’s hard when the youth laugh at us; I still call it the Cork Examiner too.

They have been trying to get permission to build it on that site for 17 years. Why?

Why even Cork? Surely somewhere closer to Dublin would have been more suitable?

Cork, to get rid of the pharma waste. It’s a mucky plant. Same as in Dublin. The waste is reduced by 2/3rds and is quite toxic. No proper plans on how to get rid of that. Land fill not an option. Check out how far away a cow has to be before a human can safely drink its milk.

“Check out how far away a cow has to be before a human can safely drink its milk.”
Cows are very maternal. if you try to drink a cow’s milk within 37 feet[1] you will be viciously attacked. They are large animals with pointy horns.

[1] unless there is a wall between you and the cow.

            i like how it’s 37 and not 35. what if i was 36 1/2 feet away and i was wearing a cow-print hoodie?

From the area around an incinerator of the size build in Dublin and proposed for Ringaskiddy. !! Where’s old Dan Boyle when you need him.

      That’s exactly what I thought
      Maybe posthumous prosecutions
Imagine waking up to suddenly find you are not you thought you were

Might I mention that the f word, the B word and even (Lord blessus) the C word may be uttered on twitter, amongst adults, without let or hindrance. Civilisation has not fallen as a result.

      1. The Old Boy

Merely that it hasn’t yet caused civilisation to crumble, which is rather a low bar, really.
