I know it’s not on to speak ill of the dead, but….he did murder a German taxi driver (yes murdered, fact of the day, I just learned that!)

Thought you were joking about his acting, Jesus, that’s actually true. Was that common knowledge?

Reminds me of that Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge skit. Where the cockney fella was cleared of garroting a nightclub bouncer “TAXI!”

He also had a proclivity for dressing as Captain Hook whilst engaging in what may have been sexual assault. Whatever he did during his 71 years I would guess he was rarely bored.

You should read the comments which have appeared today under his last tweet, you’d be appalled!

I must have watched Eastenders involuntarily at some point in the 1980s as I remember Dirty Den and this guy.

Ah the Christmas episode when he told Angie he wanted a divorce was brilliant….
( more of a Corrie fan nonetheless )

It had the highest ratings of any TV programme in UK (apart from news or sport broadcasts), 4th overall; 30.15m viewers (more than half of the UK population at the time), only behind 1966 World Cup Final (32.30m), Funeral of Diana (32.10m), Royal Family 1969 Documentary (30.69m), all three of which were on at least two channels and are aggregate figures.

        And it was brilliant.

check out Wikipedia before they change it!!!!!!!! “Grantham returned from Bulgaria for treatment of an undisclosed medical condition. He died in the early hours of 15 June 2018, aged 71.[25] Family and friends were at his bedside during the last few days of his life as his condition progressively deteriorated. A pulmonary embolism may have been the cause although a rare condition such as bad aids, although less likely, is possible due to the symptoms.”
