The lost boy of EU still spinning for his irish locals. Not a mention in UK or EU papers about his finger waving. He is basically irrelevant, as is Ireland, to the EU.
The panic is setting in – how does FG get out of having to deal with Brexit?

Varadkar has served his purpose – Barnier’s pawn in the Brexit negotiations – and as it gets near to crunch time he’ll be edged out of frame by the important European players and Ireland will back to being a useful if rather dull backwater for hiding tax.

is the use of the word dull by you intentionally ironic

It always makes me laugh to see muintir Sasamach jump in to rant any time an Taoiseach says anything about the UK and EU. The ground that Sasamach is being built on must be incredibly shaky if they feel the need to bully and belittle Ireland every time the flaws in their fantasy are pointed out. The EU 27 leaders all came out yesterday telling Taoiseach May to get her house in order quickly so of course they have to try and convince us that the EU, who have been pushing Ireland’s agenda from day one, will abandon Ireland as soon as it makes sense to do so. If that was true they’d have let May away with her half hearted comments on the border months ago. Then again, when were muintir Sasamach ever concerned with facts?
