The people and indeed patients who have exposed themselves to try and progress this are very brave in my eyes. I always was too worried about legal repercussions so have rarely backed up my support of this with any activism. ‘Possession of drugs’ is a nasty charge, you might not get jail but it could ruin your career. The charge ‘possession of drugs’ does not defferenciate which drug.
I have no experience at all of cannabis based medicines. Others have a great deal of experience and appear to indicate that these medicines can be helpful for seizures; MS and other neurological disorders; relief of side effects of chemotherapy; glaucoma and chronic pain. I myself have experience of chronic pain. I would suggest that the pious ‘slippery slope” mob, in Government and on this forum, might try to live a day in the shoes of a sufferer of any one of these conditions. We could then have a rational discussion about medicinal cannabis.
My sister asked me to get weed for me Mum. I said ‘no’. She’s 79, and I wouldn’t trust that hydroponic crap as it’s potency is all wrong for the needs of those looking for pain relief. At least that’s what I understand to be the case.
if anyone knows better, do say…
And the idea of my Ma stoned on that stuff freaked me out a bit, at the time :)
What a dutiful son.
It’s time to get on with this.
