Its just a ply to wipe the kids in to a going back to school frenzy, its disgraceful or maybe its just so parents can get bits and piece over a few weeks and not panic about buying everything at once.
And yes I meant whip not wipe.
And ploy, supposedly. Cos you can wipe with ply if that’s where you were going. It just seems rather OTT regarding school supplies.
Some people do need to buy their family’s school supplies early.
Just a thought.
Poor Stephen… wait til he sees the Christmas decorations in August…
In about 6-8 weeks those shelves will be screaming Hallowe’en. Hope we can count on you Stephen to take pics.
Don’t worry. I’ll be there with my camera ready
Dunnes have had this gear out a couple of weeks already.
Makes sense. Parents can start planning their list and compare prices from all stores, plus maybe stagger out the purchases over a few paydays. It’s particularly exciting when a kid is moving on from primary to secondary. I don’t know why people get so upset by this. It doesn’t mean that retailers are marching on time any faster than it currently marches or dictating consumer patterns. It’s a simple fact that schools start in about 5 weeks and parents like to get organised so that little Johnny has all his kit and doesn’t appear on the first day mortified with last year’ss jumper on his back.
No Stephen Hanlon, they got their holidays over two weeks ago.
When you have children forward planning is crucial. In fact forward planning is crucial in all aspects of life.
Helping with budget and time.
You are obviously childless so please stop creeping around the kiddie school section and go back to the off licence or whenst ye came.
And the award for Worst Internet Troll goes too “Always Angry” Alan McGee. Take a bow Alan.
Weren’t Mark’n’Sparks suggesting folk get the back to school stuff in *before* the holidays?
As a kid I hated to see the ‘back to school’ signs in the shops.
Yep. Buzzkill.
not everyone can afford one big shop in August
Especially when you spend the childers allowance on drink and takeaway.
you may need to talk to someone about that
the hookers and the blow plan too
Hmm.
Hmm?
HMM.
