A nice morning over the Electric Picnic site in Stradbally this morning as my photo shows and the weather looks ok for tomorrow and Saturday but latest charts show some heavier rain possible Sunday. More updates later. #EP2018
Previously: Picnic-ing?
Whoo-hoo! :)
Anyone good playing this year? I can’t even be bottomed looking, that’s how jaded I am.
It’s the Electric Picnic, so No.
They gave up paying for good acts years ago when they realised people will just go anyway
Speaking of jaded…
….. look at the lineup that caters to people teetering on middle age reliving their youth?
The Prodigy!
Massive Attack!
Jaysus, Oxygen might have been a nightmare, but the acts were always top notch
You just picked two bands I would love to see. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Electric picnic was always catering for an older market anyway. Oxygen was for the younger ones.
I’d go see Prodigy & Massive Attack at a festival alrite & some other decent acts there too however I think personally it’s a very very overpriced festival
There’s also Death Grips and Stefflon Don…. its a festival.
I’d like a metal tent, in fairness. Not enough heavy stuff last year, or this year… used to get bands like Drenge or METZ or Archie Bronson Outfit…. nuttin’ like those for a couple of years.
Unless someone spots a band in the line up this year I’ve not looked up, do shout ! :)
Sorry, Broadsheet Gods. I’m an awful fupping fuppwit with all my fupping swearing. Though I don’t think the word you erased was in any way fupping bad. Fuppity fupp flaps.
I’m not sure but I just heard an ad on 8radio for the upcoming Thunder Pussy gig. Now there’s a band name
…and their merch includes Thunderwear…really.
I heard Bewitched are playing.
I saw them on Pointless. I think of of the twins named Austria as a capital city beginning with A.
They made Jedward look Einsteinian.

I nearly dropped sticks and headed for Stradbally on the mention of Portishead in that headline – don’t scare me like that!
I fell asleep at a Portishead concert once. Drunk, obvs, but it was terribly soporific.
i played down there a few years ago and jaysus i couldn’t wait to get gone out of it. the relentless thud of bass signatures everywhere gave me a headache after a few hours and there’s just nowhere to give yourself a break. even though i had a licence to get mangled for the night i decided to sod off home after a few hours.
twas then i fully accepted my status as an oul fella. i’ve no interest in that sort of thing anymore.
