Behold: the Vespa Elettrica – an electric scooter first announced over two years ago and now finally taking advance orders for delivery later this year. The 4kW engine outperforms the traditional 50cc petrol predecessor and the initial 100km range will double with the addition of a more powerful Elettrica X variant.
Yours for around €6,400.

Now this, I would buy
Pricey tho, for a scoooooter no?
* blows whistle, waves glow stick, hugs SOQ’s sweaty torso *
Its a nice looking bike, but 6.5 grand is a crazy price.
plus Irish weather
They look so cool in the Mediterranean countries, when you can whizz around like you’re Style Council era Weller… Not so cool when you’re like a yeti in a hi viz over here.
They look cool and they look incredibly cool when you’re zipping past the frustrated cagers.
Protective gear trumps Irish weather.
€6,400 is a little pricey. My first Vespa (a second hand125cc E4) set me back €2.5K. Bikeworld are selling an Artisan Electric which looks like an old school Vespa, with a 60Km range for €2,950.
Just googled that electric one, it’s quite nice all things considered.
mmm how functional
imagine that satisfying whirrrrrrrrrr
6 and a half grand for something that in petrol version does about 90 miles to the gallon already
Too expensive for a scooter for sure. Its also mainly a plastic shell, which is easily cracked. Unless I’m mistaken.
Once its cracked its value drops dramatically.
this
I drove a 69 into a pole once
she recovered better than I did
