Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development, Ciarán Cannon TD announced a new initiative that makes discovering and purchasing the work of the very best craftspeople and designers just a click away for the Irish abroad.
Through DesignIreland.ie the online selling platform presented by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland, it now offers an easy-to-use, by-county, searchable database to enable the Irish abroad to source unique products made in their home county and also to explore maker workshops they can visit on their next holiday to Ireland.
In fairness.
Irish-made stocking fillers to broadsheet@broadsheet.ie marked ‘Irish-Made Stocking Fillers’. No fee.

The diaspora: Grand to make money off, a pain in the arse when they come home.
Ah yeah, they’re all blow-ins and know it all when they come home – according to the lazy, ignorant, jealous articles that were too molly-coddled and gutless to get off their holes and seek a better life.
