‘Engaging’ with art is a totally subjective experience so maybe it’s a bit presumptuous to speak for every person who sees Banksy’s stuff. As for ‘enduring’ – given the worldwide reach of his work, the massive publicity it attracts and the huge amount of debate, critique and attention lavished on every piece, i think you might just be horribly wrong. Maybe if you had started your comment with’imho’ or something, it would have seemed less pretentious. No offense.

He’s what Thomas Kinkade was to painting, it’s art for the masses and fair play to him for it.

Love the idea that the owner of an exposed breeze block shed in one of the most deprived parts of Wales is waking up today with a £250,000 work of art on his property. Merry Christmas everyone.

I remember the day when he’d have politicians or bankers pi**ing into the air around the corner, he’s getting soft with all the money he’s making.
