This afternoon.
Leinster House, Dublin 2
Mayor of Drogheda Frank Godfrey (red cap) with protesters demonstrating over the proposed changing of the name of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Under the proposals, the hospital will be called one of the following: University Hospital Drogheda; Drogheda Regional Hospital or Drogheda General Hospital.
More as we get it.

Is this crowd protesting ‘cos:
a) they’re proud of the religious aspect
b) they’re not proud of the religious aspect & don’t want it’s history fading to grey with a fancy pants new name w/associated morkeshing campaign
?
Dopes. Only a religious fundamentalists (morons) would care.
Since when is there a mayor of Drogheda? The place is pint-sized
Drogheda is the biggest town in Ireland.
town centre is no bigger than other towns just has a load of poorly planned urban sprawl cause of it being a commuter town for the big smoke
When towns are big we call them cities.
I have no symphysiotomy for them.
