Checkpoint Paddy

at

So it begins.

This morning.

Dublin Port.

Customs check booths – in the glummest shade of battleship grey known to man – currently being built at Dublin Port for UK-bound trucks ‘leaving the EU’.

Are you Brexit-ready?

Best example of Rapid Build I know of

      The Criminal Courts building
      Up out’ve nowhere
      And in no time

Nope Frilly, that one was right on schedule but point taken.

The state did own the site of course so no delays there, also the old army base on Infirmary Road which is taking a very long time to hand over for social house- odd that.

…now, now eoin…next thing you’ll be blaiming the overspend on National Childrens Hospital on failings in health spending…

If they’re not going to be used after 29 March, they could be rented out at a fortune per month.

Does anything look wrong about these structures? The side-opening windows suggesting lorries will pass directly by the window? Even if the windows were 6 ft higher to get eye-to-eye with a lorry cabin, you still wouldn’t get a lorry to pass under that gantry. And what exactly is the gantry for, surely it’s not cosmetic to Dermot Bannonise the project?

Would love to see the spec, tendering, contractor and cost for these structures.

That’s the car and van / camper van exit. Trucks will be diverted into their own compound and called for ‘ok to go’, ‘further documentation’ or examination.

I will not! I’ll arrive rested and feeling completely well, not in the least bit seasick. Going on it in a month or so. WOO HOO!

We’re staying in a cabin with a window: the window is where the telly is in the internal basic cabin which they show there. Hardly classy: it’s only 20 snots more, I think. But yeah, I got class comin’ outta my ass.

No. Idlers of the highest calibre.

It’s just veeeery slow today in work. No actual work to do.

          You’ve been ignoring me.

It’s working if you must know. I find you more irresistible than ever. Even with that knitted yellow jumper on the other thread.

There’s not a chance I’d have the will power, desire or cunning to play hard to get…. hard to like absolutely!

I know (some) architects like to over engineer things but whats with all the metal bits above? What purpose does it serve?

In fairness, this is a good example of personalization. They have the same facial features as the DUP.
