On this #BrexitDay, announcing a little exit of my own… I’m stepping down from @Independent_ie #INM after almost 13 years working with some of the best journalists in Ireland to pursue new interests of my own. It has been an absolute privilege – a new, exciting chapter begins. pic.twitter.com/RMa7Q9n7dp

I thought Mark Whalberg said that…
Nothing to do with blockhead Fionann allegedly bullying you..
She’s hardly going empty handed
How’n’ever
A classy way to introduce the news
Fairs fair like
Hacks who wear sunglasses to pose up for the paps are always worth the watching..
It used to be a necessary defence of every hack worthy of the name against the acute sunlight sensitivity brought on by a prodigious intake of booze.
apparently makes twice as much from being adele’s doppelgänger so why not
Is Antony and the Johnsons still recording?
As Irish journalists go, she has principles and a strong loyalty to the truth. Must have been uncomfortable at INM when reporting the dealings of Ireland’s (former) richest man. She’ll be missed.
Lol, talk about damning with faint praise. The notion that she was ‘uncomfortable” working at inm for 13 YEARS is laughable, she was happy taking their money so she needs to accept the opprobrium that come with being a part of this organization.
From recollection, she’s only been the business editor for a couple of years and was the legal correspondent before that. When she started at INM, the O’Reillys were in charge, it was what? 2012? that DOB became the biggest shareholder and the board and management began to reflect his, er, ambitions. I think Dearbhail is a decent sort with integrity, I wish her well.
(Twain never wrote that-its a misquote)
It’s a somewhat infamous wrong piece that Branson used in advertising space flights, on The Virgin Galactic.
I thought well of her too until I read that posh boys ‘defilement’ article.
”After almost 13 years working with some of the best journalists in Ireland.”
Hang on, where was she also working besides the Indo?
The University Times.
Cutbacks. Ruth The Dud is gone. Eoghan Harris is next.
