Bring It In For A Hygge

at

This morning.

Naas, County Kildare.

The opening of first  JYSK store in Ireland selling Danish-made mattresses, furniture and interior décor.

JYSK founder Lars Larsen (pic 3), opened this the first of 15 JYSK homewares stores set to open across Ireland over the next two years, with the creation of 200 jobs.

Fair play, i retfærdighed.

Interesting interview with him on t’wireless this morning. While doing a similar thing to Ikea, he is trying to make it much more accessible with more and smaller stores, but a similar range. Be interesting to see how this battle of the Norse shopping gods takes off :)

Can they compete with IKEA’s meatballs though?
    Or indeed, SOMMARSKÖRD (pickled gherkins).
    Thought not.

every single adult in these photos looks like they’re the sort of retired person who has everything and just buys crap for the house cos they want to satisfy the craving to shop.
