Are you an Irish citizen living in the U.K.? You’ll still be able to travel freely, work, study and live here after #Brexit (as will British citizens in Ireland), thanks to the #CTA. To find out more about how #Brexit might affect you 👉 https://t.co/lbnx5typon pic.twitter.com/xCmtliRqqO

CTA?

Soz Irish embassy in London but the CTA predates Ireland’s membership of the EU. Hasn’t been a problem in the past 46 years because the CTA almost exactly matched the footprint of EU rules governing two EU members. But from Friday this week at 11pm, the CTA is incompatible with Ireland’s membership of the EU.
“It’s not fun being an illegal alien,
It’s not fun being an illegal alien,
An illegal alien, O.K.”
How is it incompatible? The CTA already includes the channel Islands and the Isle of Man who arnt EU. I don’t mean to underestimate you but I assume the Embassy staff are more clued up on how brexit will affect the CTA than you are.
