Rosie the Riveter was propaganda to encourage women to work harder to produce bombs and military planes. It is weird that left-wing feminists have appropriate this imagery.

      1. Yep

And Germans. They also killed lots and lots of Germans. War though…What is good for?..Propaganda…SAY IT AGAIN!!!!

‘Make sure to have no Socialist Party banners, iconography, or anything that will remind voters that you are running for the Socialist Party’

When your gut reaction is this, is it any wonder why they might prefer that you focus on policy over the negative connotations people may have with an economic theory?

Do they realise what that gesture in the bottom photo means, I wonder?

Damn you, Broadsheet, for adding in extra pics and making my post utterly redundant.

If you’re running for a seat as an MEP while sitting as a TD, you should have to give up your seat as TD as far I’m concerned. a By-election could then be run on the same day.

I’m no big fan of a lot of politicians but thats a bit harsh to be fair.
Should everyone who applies for another job have to give up their current job before they apply, cause thats basically what you are asking for here. The election is their application process/interview.

I would rather vote for Fine Gael than Fianna Fail. The much lesser of two evils. Malcolm Byrne is a slimey local politician who has been on the edges of the inner circle of FF for the past decade sucking up to the right people hoping to be given a shot at running for the Dail- here is being the side kick to the real FF hope for the MEP seat hoping he will then inherit the Dail seat. Gombeens the lot of them.

      I agree with you Chris.

Has Fianna Fail got rid of Michael Martin yet?
      No.

Why would anyone change their vote when Fianna Fail hasn’t changed.

Do the TD’s who are running in these elections have to quit as TD’s if they win a seat in the European parliament?
