   The top of the tree in the picture is not far from the telegraph wire and is vulnerable to strong gusts of wind. The Council should be more worried about a tumbling tree top than a silly hare-brained sequestering cat that doesn’t know whether it is coming or going.

   I heard they can get themselves down safely eventually. 2 days though? poor kitty, id go up myself if I lived near the area. Surely kids still climb things?

   Get a kid to climb up and get it, or do kids not climb trees anymore?
   Failing that, the cat will come down on its own when it gets hungry enough.
