BOUTS – Passing Through
Homegrown power-pop doesn’t get any better than BOUTS.
The video for ‘Passing Through’ – the extremely catchy new single from their second album ‘Flow’ – was shot in Amsterdam and is giving us that Friday feeling.
If you’re a Weezer-loving geezer, you’ll want to catch the Dublin four-piece – that’s Niall, Barry, Dan and Colin – when they play the Knockan Stockan festival in Blessington in July.

I must admit that I did enjoy that, more than I expected.
Only problem, the tall fella (Dan, if your names are in order for the pic, second from right) reminds me of an annoying guy on a UK advert about digital people.
Other than that, I can only say if you are ever in Amsterdam, you should really check out Bourbon Street. Great music, but they also allow open mic some days. Once when I was there a young lady belted out a phenomenal version of Take Another Piece Of My Heart that, to this day, remains my favourite version of that classic.
