Aidan is an assistant professor in UCD so he’s probably already on his lengthy holliers.

In fairness, most modern royals are an extension of their national commercial interests, but three days of this?

Mr Regan’s tweet is factually incorrect.

The Great Chain of Office dates from 1698, not the Medieval period.

It was presented to Dublin by the Dutch born William III, and hence features his portrait.

It is most appropriate it was worn during a visit by the Dutch king and queen!

The Dutch have feck all land, yet are now the largest producer of tomatoes in Europe. They also have good coffee shops. Perhaps we might learn a thing or two from them.

The Dutch royal family are from the House of Nassau. Nassau St around the corner from the Mansion House is called after them.
