Calling all Kate Bush fans.
Dubliner Sean Twomey has recorded a special podcast on the iconic video to Kate’s 1980s hit Cloudbusting.
Last month the song was re-released as a limited edition picture disc yet still topped the charts.
The video stars Hollywood favourite Donald Sutherland (top left) and the song was based on a book written by the son of psychologist Wilhelm Reich. The podcast is available above and at the KB fan site katebushnews.com
Sean says he recorded the podcast on Father’s Day because Cloubusting is “one of the most beautiful songs ever written about the love between a child and their father.”

That’s my drive home listen sorted :)
I am a little amused, as just last night I heard a cover of the song. Did not manage to catch the band (to Google after this, I guess), but I find the timing a little funny :)
The Baader Meinhoff Phenomenon strikes again…
Or Pratchett’s theory of causality :)
Be interested to hear who did the cover when you find out, Slightly Bemused :)
There are more than I thought. Having to do a bit of extended research. Thankfully, most are good covers, and it is a great song :)
Right, think I have it.
Martin Newnham has a version that is what I think I heard (twas late at night as I was readying for bed). I think the actual radio version was more processed (this is a live version) but I am fairly certain its the same voice and definitely the same style of fast paced folkiness.

Another good one, more ethereal, is Bradley Smith and Dirty Paint Brush Sky. Also worth a listen.

Enjoy.
Cheers ears
