Dublin’s 100th annual Liffey Swim takes place on Saturday, August 3.

To mark the occasion, and in a nod to Jack B Yeats, Stoneybatter-based Damn Fine Print are creating a number of strictly limited edition prints by a number of artists including Annie Atkins, Steve Simpson, M&E, Fuschia Macaree, Peter Donnelly, Alan Dunne, Niall McCormack.

They’ll go on show at the Om Diva atelier, 27 Drury Street, Dublin 2, from Wednesday, August 1 to Tuesday, August 13.

Damn Fine Print’s Creative Director Kim Willoughby writes:

“There’ll be a launch night on the opening Wednesday after which the prints will be for sale in the Om Diva gallery on Drury Street and at DamnFinePrint.com for €90 each, unframed.

“They’re all strictly limited editions though so be quick if you’re thinking of nabbing a commemorative print for yourself or someone taking part in the swim.”

“…There’s something really magical about seeing hundreds of people swimming through the middle of our capital and we’ve hoping to immortalise that with a series of fun prints by some of the finest illustrators working in Ireland today.”

All prints glow at night.

Kidding.

Yep, that last print is exactly what I imagine is the composition of the water in the Liffey, brown floaters and “algal bloom”.
