    Ha, the Sally Gap, where old cars were once tumbled over the edge in abandonment pre-trade-in deals.

        Sorry I meant the oul KCR (Kimmage Road) but yeah I was tied up in the back with the mandatory black bag on the head. If I paid extra they used to wash bag for me and all

    Thats one of the cheapest ad’s I’ve ever come across…. that is an exceptionally poor list of cars. My old man driives a sportage, and while it’s got a great boot, you wouldn’t want to drive it for pleasure…

    I did the Sally Gap a couple of times recently… great drive.

    I wouldn’t drive an 8 series over the sally gap, tis too wide and expensive.

    The answer for all of the above is of course Mazda MX5

      Nobody is going to buy a car for any of these journeys so the concept is nonsense to begin with…

    Blessington => Sally Gap => Glenmacnass Waterfall => Coffee in Laragh => Wicklow Gap => Hollywood => Blessington

    Canondale Super 6 EVO – great for climbs

    ====================================================================================
    Ring of Kerry

    Cinelli Hobootleg – A wonderful tourer

    ====================================================================================
    Trim => Bective Abbey => Tara => Pints in Skryne.

    Felt XCity 1 – perfect hybrid for short spins.

          Do it. Take in Bere Island on your way. A wee slice of paradise is what it is. A gorgeous part of the world.

    Anybody who recommends the Qashqai for any drive has clearly never driven a Qashqai. Top heavy lump a bleeedin shoy

      true for ya. and the interior is a cheap, plastic, flimsy, ugly hole – probably made out of recycled barbie dolls.

    I once coasted down from the Sally Gap to see how fast I could get with no engine power. Braking for a corner at 70 + mph was fun….

    Westport to Old Head to Louisburgh through to Leenaun… in a Defender of course… then ask the breakdown recovery company to deliver the Defender back to Dublin.

        You guys need to get a load of the priests leap mountain road heading into Kilgarvan

        Put hair on yer balls it will

        I think I do… along by a lake ?…we used to spend our summer holidays around that whole area, 5 kids, 2 parents driving around in a Fiat 128… happy days!

    new ross to kilkenny by the backroads off the n25, through jerpoint abbey and mount juliet on a motorbike.
    on a day like to today it would be stunning.

    8 series for Sally Gap, are they mad. A small nimble sporty hatch is what ya want. thrown into corners with reckless abandon.
