Dublin Rental Watch tweetz:
Paddy’s ‘Studio’ is up for rent again €1,100pm. I can find no record of relevant planning. Photos still suggest non-compliance with minimum standards. I was able to track this address down from [an] earlier advert.
Clanranald Road, Donnycarney, Dublin 3 (Daft.ie)

Donnycarney? The rent for this shed is a lot higher than the mortgage repayments on the house and he’ll be claiming it as tax free under the rent a room scheme.
So, Daft.ie would regard this as a 1-bed unit in their rents report? Where else but Daft would you find this rubbish? No wonder renters and sellers who value their reputations avoid the Daft cesspit. What that means for the Daft rental and price reports, it’s hard to say, but in my opinion, they’re not representative.
The on-street parking is surely, a bonus, although gaining access to the street may appear a tad unorthodox/illegal – I’m guessing it’s not a forever home?
Also, is there a crying chair tucked under the sofa?
How do you even access it? Do you have to walk through their house first?
Own Entrance = Through the neighbour’s garden and hop the side wall.
What have we become?
I don’t work in the city anymore so I don’t really get to see it, but I was in Dublin this morning and was really shocked at the number of sleeping bags and bodies I saw in shop doorways etc. in the early morning. It’s sobering to see. I can’t believe how bad things have become in the two or so years I’ve been out of the city centre. It’s really grim.
this is what fg government gives you
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
To be fair – I look at “Crying Chair” posts – I’m moving house in Belfast, it may involve a lot of crying..
