Spotted this on way home today On this day remember George Bradshaw and Thomas Duffy killed by loyalist bomb on December 1st 1972.And Tommy Douglas murdered by the same group 13 months later. Located Sackville Place behind Clerys outside new Moxy Hotel Dublin 1 .
That was covered by construction works for some time. Good to see it back. I understand George and Thomas were evacuated from a nearby CIE canteen and tragically directed by Gardaí straight towards the car bomb. Very tragic and entirely overshadowed by the later Dublin and Monaghan bombings.
“killed by loyalist bomb” or as the rest of us would put it:
“murdered by UK terrorists”
If they did that for IRA victims they’d run out of pavement space
True. Or victims of loyalist death squads
