An outstanding short animated in minimalist pen and ink by Randall Christopher telling the story of the chase and final capture in 1960 of Holocaust architect Adolf Eichmann by the Mossad agent Zvi Aharoni.
The (dramatically) dry reality of a dogged manhunt turned into a spy thriller.
This should be obligatory viewing for all the Israel haters on BS.
Not once does it mention shooting Palestinians. Oh, right, cos that’s a different thing.
I think if you’d read the things Hamas and other fascist groups in the Middle East say about Jews in their documents, you’d realise it is most certainly not a ‘different thing’, its a continuation of the same thing.
Pro Palestine does not make someone anti Semitic, they could be Japanese chickens and I’d be against it. It’s the Irish in me, I guess.
Brilliant.
(Please forward to Rt Hon Jeremy Corbyn MP)
Why, though newsJustin? Genuine question
Maybe as a small reminder of the consequences of anti-Semitism?
Just a thought.
You’d wonder is Corbyn antisemitic or anti- the stance of the Israeli government regarding Palestine etc? Not sure they are the same thing but some say they are. I’m pretty sure Corbyn wouldnt be anti- the capture of Eichmann though in fairness to him
corbyn is certainly antizionist, which any true socialist necessarily is
problem is that the labour party is not longer a truly socialist party, and there’s a sizeable and powerful group within it that want to eradicate the remaining vestiges of true socialism within the LP
that’s what this is all about
Antizionist? So you’re saying Corbyn isn’t just opposed to the actions of the Israeli government, he’s actually opposed to the very existence of the state of Israel? This is huge
is corbyn opposed to israel’s appropriation of palestine? yes, he is. that’s not a secret.
No but by calling him an antizionist you are saying that Corbyn is opposed to the very existence of the state of Israel. Maybe you just meant a different word though. No offence
“by calling him an antizionist you are saying that Corbyn is opposed to the very existence of the state of Israel.”
No he isn’t. No offence
(and I have zero time for Corbyn, nor the left’s weird fixation on Israel)
no offence taken, pat
i’m using ‘antizionism’ in the post-1948 sense of the word because, well, it’s 2019 now
Everyone is wrong, apart from Pat…
Haha! Thanks Rob!
But Barney (I know what year it is, thanks!) – post-48 zionists are opposed to the state of Israel. Not just its actions – the actual state. Pre 48 they were opposed to its future establishment but that’s neither here nor there. My only point is people throw these extreme terms around without really knowing what they are.. it’s alright to correct a word you use – your lad won’t drop off! Fair play!
Well, Zionism comes in my different forms too so…let’s all agree that questioning the actions of the State of Israel is not somehow inherently anti-semitic. Hurray!
100% Ghostie!
pat, is opposing israel’s right to occupy the lands it occupies antizionist?
…the zionist project has failed…they rely on US and apartheid measures to maintain their existence…unsustainable…
they probably say the Irish state relies on tax-dodging US multinationals for our existence
equally unsustainable
…no they don’t…they care only about their own existence…they resent any investment that doesn’t go to them…
In which of the three wars Israel has fought did American troops play a part ? Which planes provided Israels air power ? You seriously need to stop parroting Soviet cant produced for their Arab clients after their failure to utilise the military hardware they’d been donated. The fact that that regime went down the toilet 30 yeats ago should also be a clue.
