Meanwhile, In Kerry

at

This morning.

At Kerry General Hospital.

Micheal Prendergast, aged 28, who is recovering from the coronavirus, recorded a message of himself in which he appealed for people to practice social distancing.

He also appealed for the Government to take a “proactive” step and to implement “tighter controls” on people’s public movements.

Sky News journalist Stephen Murphy subsequently put Mr Prendergast’s appeal to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at a press conference this morning.

Mr Varadkar replied:

“I think we are being proactive and, you know, I think I’ve answered that question…any decisions that we make on further restrictions around social distancing and what happens in public places should be rooted in the advice of the Chief Medical Officer [Tony Holohan] and those public health doctors, not what’s trending on Twitter, not what maybe politicians are calling for.”

Then have Tony Holohan take a walk around Dun Laoghaire and Howth at the weekend and see what people are doing with his advice so far. Actually, most any town, not just the tourist-y ones. Large groups of teenagers, people barging into shops, tightly packed queues for chips and ice-cream.

The CMO’s advice doesn’t take into account that living amongst us are braindead, selfish morons, idiot kids and proper crap parents.

Any word from Brother “if my life ends now, throw my hard drive in the sea” Barnabas?

        hello bertie, hello bodger

        I’m well, thanks

(the ‘clear everything since the beginning of time’ option does the trick, no?)

            I am, thanks

it’s an odd virus, from what I experienced – wasnt a big deal for me, to be honest (but I know it’s very different for different people)

for me, main thing was extraordinary exhaustion – I pretty much slept for a week. occasional headaches and bit of fever at night but… manageable,. i had a piece of paper telling me what to do next but I cant find it now – I think I have to wait 14 days from when symptoms clear (which is maybe today, but still a small bit lightheaded) before venturing back into life. I’m kind of liking the isolation, too, though.

    ‘I Think’, ‘I think’

Maybe Chief Medical Officer Honohan should start taking some advice from the WHO – his fellow countryman Dr. Ryan, and not start making it up as he goes along (like he attempted to do with the Cervical Smear debacle)

Get well Michael. Constructive thoughts, thanks for sharing in your situation.
